Born in Baytown, Texas on April 25, 1969 Ren e Kathleen Zellweger started her career with several small films including Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Reality Bites, Empire Records, The Whole Wide World, and 8 Seconds. It wasn t until her work in the films Jerry Maguire, Nurse Betty and One True Thing that she gained popularity. Her best known film Bridget Jones's Diary boosted her career and went further up with her performances in Chicago and Cold Mountain for which she earned her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has since participated in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Shark Tale, Bee Movie and Cinderella Man.
